What to expect on Sunday

We love visitors, and can’t wait to meet you! When you come to the Sunday gathering of King’s Church you can expect two things: To be welcomed and to hear about Jesus.

It is not the easiest thing to visit a church for the first time. The surrounding is unfamiliar. The people are unfamiliar. With that in mind, we want to make you feel welcome from the time you pull in the parking lot to the time you pull out.

The other thing you can expect is to hear about Jesus. We gather on Sunday to experience the worthiness of God and to give Him what He is worth. We do this together. And we invite you to join us!

We start at 10 a.m. and end around 11:30 a.m.
Our worship is made up of Prayer, Singing, Reciting Creeds and other Statements of Faith, and Reading and Teaching of God’s Word (The Bible).

Prayer – We have different times in our worship where everybody prays silently with one person leading AND times when we pray as a group and several people takes turns praying. If you are uncomfortable praying out loud in a group don’t be alarmed – everyone who prays does so only if they feel comfortable.

Creeds and other Statements of Faith – We want to deeply know what we believe and why we believe it. Therefore, we will often recite Creeds and other Statements of Faith.

Reading and Teaching of God’s Word – Typically, our Pastor, Matt Awtrey, will read and teach from the Bible.

At King’s Church the music is simple. We sing some songs that followers of Jesus have been singing for hundreds of years, and others that are brand new. All of the songs, instruments, and singers work together to elevate the singing of the congregation. In other words, we hope the main thing everyone hears is the voices of those around them. On Sunday, everyone is part of the choir!
We have childcare available for children ages 0-4. After you come in the door of Palmetto Place, you will go up the stairs on your left. At the top of the stairs, you will be greeted by some one who will help you check in your children to their room. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early to check in your kids.
There is a good variety in the way people dress to attend King’s Church. You’ll be comfortable any way you dress. Some come in dresses and ties; others wear their jeans and t-shirts. Feel free to dress as you desire.
